Micky Farkas has been providing music for children since 1995. A native of Montreal, Quebec, he has gained recognition in his hometown for his entertaining songs, delivering a mixture of styles that engages children with some of the world's most significant musical traditions, including classical, jazz, funk, gypsy, reggae, folk and rock 'n' roll.

His latest recording, "Magic Picnic", which saw him returning to work in Los Angeles with producer Rafi Benjamin, finds Micky exploring the roots of music to a backdrop of themes that are most tantalizing to children and their parents. From his haunting gypsy monster pieces to his chicago shuffle, the CD displays Micky's undiminished talent for seeing things from a kid's-eye view. He's goofy too!

Micky has been recognized by the Canadian Association for Young Children and the Association of Early Childhood Educators for his exceptional ability to entertain children while helping them discover their innate musicality.
